どちらでも

相手の要求や期待が大きすぎて、そのまま受け入れるのは難しいと伝える場面で使います。相手を直接批判する響きがあり、きっぱり断る時に向いていますが、言い方によっては対立的に聞こえるため、目上の人には注意が必要です。

  動作をする人を示す前置詞はtoではなくforです。

文法的に正しい表現ですが、丁寧な依頼・断り表現という意味ではありません。相手の考えや要求を不合理だと直接批判するため、強く聞こえることがあります。目上の人には、That may be difficult や I don't think that's reasonable のような表現が一般的です。
