がある

「がある」の英語

「がある」は英語で there is / there are と言います。単数なら there is、複数なら there are を使い、場所を示す there 単独とは区別します。会話で「そこにある」と言うときは it is there や over there が自然です。

    物や事柄の存在を伝える基本表現で、単数と複数で形が変わります。

    There is a small park behind the library.

  • be there

    すでに話題になっている物や人が、特定の場所にある・いることを示す表現です。

  • be located
