よくある間違い

• ✕ If there are no objection, we'll say we have approval.

  ○ If there are no objections, we'll say we have approval.

  no objection と単数形にするなら there is no objection、複数形にするなら there are no objections と、be動詞と名詞の数を一致させます。

• ✕ If there are not objections, we'll say we have agreement.

  ○ If there are no objections, we'll say we have agreement.

  名詞の有無を表す場合は、通常 not ではなく no を使います。

• ✕ If there are no objections, we say we have approval.

  ○ If there are no objections, we'll say we have approval.

  文法的に常に誤りというわけではありませんが、会議でその場の判断を示す場合は will を使うほうが自然です。
