すでにある程度考えている、これからの予定を落ち着いて伝えるときに使います。友達との会話から職場での予定共有まで使えますが、くだけすぎない自然な表現です。

会話で使ってみる

言い換え・似た表現

• I'm planning to take a cooking class.

  料理教室に参加する予定です。

  元の表現より会話で自然な短縮形です。

• I plan to move next year.

  来年引っ越す予定です。

  予定をより簡潔かつはっきり伝えます。

• I'm thinking of learning Spanish.

  スペイン語を学ぼうかと考えています。

  まだ検討中で、予定より確定度が低い表現です。

• I intend to apply for the position.

  その職に応募するつもりです。

  強い意志を示すやや硬めの表現です。

• I'm hoping to see the northern lights.

  オーロラを見られたらと思っています。

  希望を込めた、実現が未確定の表現です。

よくある間違い

• ✕ I am planning going to Kyoto.

  ○ I am planning to go to Kyoto.

  planの後ろは通常、to不定詞を使います。

• ✕ I am planning to went there.

  ○ I am planning to go there.

  toの後ろは動詞の原形にします。

• ✕ I am planning for go abroad.

  ○ I am planning to go abroad.

  行動の予定にはplanning toが一般的です。
