待ち合わせの場所を相手にはっきり伝え、そこで相手を待つと知らせるときに使います。仕事の約束にも使える丁寧な表現ですが、友人との待ち合わせでも不自然ではありません。

よくある間違い

  建物の前には in front of を使います。

  be の後ろは動詞の現在分詞形にします。

• ✕ I'll be waiting on front of the hotel.

  ○ I'll be waiting in front of the hotel.

  場所を表す前置詞は on ではなく in を使い、in front of とします。
