言い換え・似た表現

• There's an umbrella by the door.

  ドアのそばに傘があります。

  場所を表す前置詞を変えた自然な言い方

• There are some documents on the printer.

  プリンターの上に書類が何枚かあります。

  複数の物にはThere areを使う。「on the printer」でプリンターの上にあることを表す

• I found a charger under the sofa.

  ソファの下で充電器を見つけました。

  物があることよりも、見つけたという発見に焦点を置く

よくある間違い

• ✕ There have a book in the bag.

  ○ There's a book in the bag.

  存在を表すときはhaveではなく、there isまたはthere'sを使う

• ✕ There's a books in the bag.

  ○ There are some books in the bag.

  複数形の名詞にはThere areを使う

• ✕ There's an information in the email.

  ○ There's some information in the email.

  informationは数えられない名詞なので、aやanを付けない
