よくある間違い

  ○ The station is a five-minute walk from here.

  時間を表す名詞の前では単数形にし、ハイフンでつなぎます。

• ✕ The station is a five-minute walking from here.

  ○ The station is a five-minute walk from here.

  この形では動名詞ではなく名詞の walk を使います。

• ✕ The station is a near from here.

  ○ The station is near here.

  near はこの文では a の後ろに置く名詞ではなく、near here の形で使います。
