「勉強家」の英語

「勉強家」は英語で studious person と言います。特定分野の知識に詳しい人なら wonk も使えますが、policy wonk のように分野名と結びつけるのが一般的です。

studious person
幅広くよく勉強する人を表す、最も無難で一般的な言い方です。
My sister is a studious person who plans her study time carefully.

hard-working student
学生について、まじめに努力して勉強する人だと伝える表現です。
He is a hard-working student who never gives up on difficult subjects.

wonk
特定分野の知識や細部に熱中する人を表す、ややくだけた表現です。
She is a tech wonk who knows the latest software trends.
彼女は最新のソフトウェアの動向に詳しい技術通です。
keen learner
新しいことを積極的に学ぼうとする人を表す、前向きな表現です。
Ken is a keen learner who is always eager to improve his skills.
ケンは、いつも自分の技能を伸ばそうとする熱心な学習者です。

wonkは、元は学業や研究に没頭する人を示す米国の俗語で、やがて政策領域に適用されて政策通という意味で用いられるようになった。
