「指文字」の英語
「指文字」は英語で fingerspelling と言います。finger spelling とも書きます。文字を一字ずつ表す行為は fingerspelling、手の形の体系を指す場合は finger alphabet や manual alphabet が使われます。
「指文字」の英語の使い分け
手話で語を一字ずつ表す一般的な言い方で、まず覚える表現です。
fingerspelling と同じ意味で使われる、分かち書きの形です。
