× He did an evil.
evil を単独で「悪行」という可算名詞として使うのは不自然です。evil deed や evil deeds のように表すか、wrongdoing を使います。
× The evil of the company was reported.
○ The company's wrongdoing was reported.
会社の不正や悪事を表す場合、evil よりも wrongdoing のほうが自然です。
