「コミュニケーション能力」の英語

「コミュニケーション能力」は英語で communication skills と言います。人と円滑に意思疎通する力全般を指す、最も一般的な表現です。communicativeness はやや硬く、意思疎通を積極的に行う性質を表します。

communicativenessは、communicate（ラテン語communicare「共有する」経由）に接尾辞‑iveと‑nessが付いて「伝え合う性質」を表す語として発展し、コミュニケーション能力を示す。
