垂直統合

「垂直統合」の英語

「垂直統合」は英語で vertical integration と言います。原料調達から製造、流通、販売までを自社でつなぐ経営戦略です。販売側を内製化する前方垂直統合、原料側を取り込む後方垂直統合があります。

垂直統合は原料調達から製造・流通・販売まで供給チェーンの上下を自社で一体化することを指す

vertical integrationは、vertical（上下）とintegration（統合）が結合して生まれた語で、工業化以降に供給連鎖の上下を企業内部で結びつける意味で用いられるようになった。
