対極

「対極」の英語

「対極」は英語で the polar opposite と言います。意見や立場が正反対だという意味では、be in direct opposition to や be at opposite extremes も使えます。polar opposition は硬い名詞表現で、日常会話では the polar opposite のほうが自然です。
