「社会的支援」の英語
「社会的支援」は英語で social support と言います。困窮者への制度的・福祉的な支援には social assistance が使われ、公的扶助という制度を指す場合は public assistance が使われることがあります。

地域、団体、専門家などが提供する幅広い社会的支援を指し、経済面だけでなく生活面・精神面の支援にも使えます。
困窮者に対する福祉的・制度的な支援を指す、やや正式な表現です。
行政が所得や資産などの条件に基づいて行う公的扶助を指します。特に米国の制度について使われることが多い表現です。
