「法律上の判断」の英語

「法律上の判断」は英語で finding of law と言います。裁判所による法解釈の結論を指す専門用語で、事実認定を表す finding of fact と区別されます。特に判決や控訴の文脈で使われます。

裁判所が法を解釈して示す法律上の判断

finding of lawは、finding（判定）とlaw（法）の組み合わせで、英米法の手続きにおいて事実認定ではなく法の解釈・適用に関する結論を表す法廷用語として発達した。
