権威的に
「権威的に」の英語
「権威的に」は英語で authoritatively と言います。教皇が信仰や道徳に関して公式に宣言する場合は ex cathedra という非常に硬い表現も使われますが、日常会話では使いません。

「権威的に」を英語にするときのよくある間違い
× He talked ex cathedra about his favorite movie.
○ He spoke authoritatively about his favorite movie.
ex cathedra は主に教皇の公式な教義上の宣言に使う非常に硬い表現なので、好きな映画について語る場面には適しません。
× He spoke authority.
○ He spoke authoritatively.
この意味で speak を修飾するには副詞が必要なので、authority ではなく authoritatively を使います。
