「主菜」の英語
「主菜」は英語で main course と言います。アメリカ英語では entrée も主菜の意味で使われますが、イギリス英語では前菜を指すことがあるため、main course が分かりやすく安全です。
「主菜」の英語の使い分け
コース料理や食卓の中心となる料理を表す、最も分かりやすい表現です。
アメリカ英語で主菜を表しますが、イギリス英語では前菜の意味になることがあります。
