「適合性」の英語

appropriatenessは、appropriate + 名詞化接尾辞 -ness による語で、appropriateはラテン語 proprius（自分のもの）由来で「ふさわしい」の意味に発展し、-ness が「性質・度合い」を表す名詞を作る。
