「研究集会」を英語にするときのよくある間違い
× I joined to a research colloquium.
○ I attended a research colloquium.
研究集会などの行事に参加する場合は attend が自然で、attend の後には to を置きません。join を使う場合も、join a research colloquium のように to は不要です。
