「仲裁」の英語
「仲裁」は英語で arbitration と言います。裁判以外で第三者が紛争を解決する正式な手続きで、契約書やビジネスでよく使います。arbitrement はまれな法律用語なので、通常は arbitration を使います。

語源
arbitrationは、仲裁を意味し、arbiter（判断する人）という語に名詞を作る接尾辞 -ation がついて「判断すること・手続き」という意味の語になった。
