「言及回避」の英語

「言及回避」は英語で avoid mentioning と言います。名詞で「省略・記載漏れ」を指すなら omission も使えますが、preterition は修辞学の専門語で、一般的な言い方ではありません。

何かについて言及するのを避けるという、「言及回避」に最も直接的に対応する一般的な表現です。

omit
文章や発言から情報を意図的に省くときに使う動詞で、言及しないという意味にも使えます。
The report omitted several important facts.

leave out
情報や項目を省くという意味の、omit よりくだけた表現です。

「言及回避」を英語にするときのよくある間違い

× He did not mention about the problem.

○ He did not mention the problem.

mention は通常、about を付けずに目的語を直接取ります。
× She avoided to mention the issue.

○ She avoided mentioning the issue.

avoid の後ろには to 不定詞ではなく動名詞（-ing形）を使います。
