「濃度」の英語
「濃度」は英語で concentration と言います。溶液や物質の濃さ全般に使う基本語です。titre（米国式では titer）は、滴定で求める滴定値や医学分野の抗体価を指す専門語です。

語源
titreは、フランス語titreに由来し、さらにラテン語titulusに遡る語で、元は表示や等級を示す語が化学で濃度や滴定値を表す語に転用されたもの。

「濃度」を英語にするときのよくある間違い
× The density of salt in water is too high.
○ The concentration of salt in water is too high.
液体に溶けた物質の濃さは density ではなく concentration で表します。
× The concentration is high of the solution.
○ The concentration of the solution is high.
濃度を表す名詞の後ろに対象を置く場合は of を使います。
