意向書
「意向書」の英語
「意向書」は英語で letter of intent と言います。取引や提携の開始に向けた予備的な文書で、ビジネスや法律の場面で使います。最終契約前の意図を示し、条項によっては法的拘束力があります。

取引や提携の開始前に、当事者の意図や主要条件を示す正式な文書です。
memorandum of understanding
意向書に近い文書で、複数の当事者が合意した基本事項を確認する覚書に使います。
