「全く別の話」の英語

「全く別の話」は英語で a completely different matter と言います。日常会話では a different story、イギリス英語の口語では a different kettle of fish も使えます。

性質や状況が大きく異なることを比喩的に表す、主にイギリス英語の口語表現です。

「全く別の問題・話」という意味で、幅広い場面で使える一般的な表現です。
