慣習性

「慣習性」の英語

「慣習性」は英語で customariness と言います。非常に硬く使用頻度の低い語で、慣習が定着して当然視されている性質を表します。日常やビジネスでは、文脈に応じて customary nature などの説明的な表現にするほうが自然です。

慣習が社会や集団に定着し、当然視されている性質を表す非常に硬い名詞です。

慣習的である性質を説明的に表す、customariness よりわかりやすい言い方です。

その慣行の慣習的な性質のため、変更を導入するのは困難でした。

ある事柄が慣習になっているという事実を表す、自然でわかりやすい説明的な表現です。

customarinessは、custom（慣習）に形容詞化接尾辞-aryが付き、さらに名詞化接尾辞-nessが付加されて『慣習であること』を表す語形成から来る
