「フォトセル」の英語

「フォトセル」は英語で photocell と言います。工場や自動ドアなどの光電センサーは photoelectric sensor と表すのが一般的で、electric eye は物体検出の装置を指す実務的な言い方です。

photocell
光を感知して作動する装置を指す、最も基本的な表現です。
The photocell turns on the garden lights at dusk.
フォトセルが夕暮れに庭の照明をつけます。
photoelectric sensor
工場設備や製品資料で使う、技術的で正確な表現です。
A photoelectric sensor detects packages before they reach the sorting machine.
光電センサーが荷物を仕分け機に届く前に検出します。

自動ドアや搬送設備などの物体検出装置に使う表現です。
