配属
「配属」の英語
「配属」は英語で assignment と言います。配属先を述べるなら be assigned to が自然で、placement は人員配置を表すやや事務的な名詞です。会社や部署への配属には assignment がまず使いやすい表現です。

「配属」を英語にするときのよくある間違い
× I was placed to the sales department.
○ I was placed in the sales department.
place を「配属する」という意味で使う場合、配属先の前には通常 to ではなく in を使います。ただし、一般的には I was assigned to ... のほうが自然です。
× I was assigned in the sales department.
○ I was assigned to the sales department.
配属先を示す前置詞は in ではなく to が一般的です。
