しきい値関数

「しきい値関数」の英語

「しきい値関数」は英語で threshold function と言います。入力がしきい値以上かどうかなどに応じて、0や1のような値を返す関数を指します。しきい値による処理全般は thresholding、処理そのものは threshold operation と表すことがあります。

入力をしきい値と比較し、その結果に応じて0や1などの値を返す関数を指します。
This threshold function converts inputs below 0.5 to zero.
このしきい値関数は、0.5未満の入力をゼロに変換します。

The threshold operation removed background noise from the scanned image.

その閾値処理はスキャン画像の背景ノイズを除去した。

入力値をしきい値で区切り、閾値以上を1、未満を0などに割り当てる処理

threshold operationは、threshold（しきい値）とoperation（演算）の合成で、しきい値を基に出力を割り当てる操作を表す。
