再審請求

「再審請求」の英語

「再審請求」は英語で petition for retrial と言います。日本の制度を一般的に説明する場合はこの表現が使えますが、民事・刑事など手続によっては petition for a retrial や action for retrial など、より具体的な表現が適切なこともあります。bill of review は英米法上の特定の救済手続を指す限定的な法律用語です。

再審請求は通常の appeal とは別の手続なので、appeal と petition for retrial を同じ手続として表現しないようにします。
