「絶滅寸前の」の英語

「絶滅寸前の」は英語で endangered と言います。特に危機が深刻な場合は critically endangered、説明的には at risk of extinction も使えます。endangered species は「絶滅危惧種」です。

endangeredは、動詞endangerの過去分詞由来の形容詞で、保護を必要とする「絶滅の危機にある」状態を指す。
