「操作変数」の英語
「操作変数」は英語で manipulated variable と言います。実験分野では independent variable と呼ばれることもありますが、計量経済学では instrumental variable という別の意味になります。
「操作変数」の英語の使い分け
manipulated variable
実験で研究者が意図的に変える変数を指す、最も明確な表現です。
結果に影響を与える原因側の変数を指す一般的な用語で、実験では操作変数と重なることがあります。
