「同点にすること」の英語

「同点にすること」は英語で equalize the score と言います。スポーツでは tie the game も一般的で、同点にする得点・ゴールは equalizer と呼びます。equalisation は、より硬く、均等化全般を指すことが多い語です。

スポーツで得点を同じにすることを表す、最も分かりやすい動詞句です。

主にアメリカ英語で、試合を同点にすることを表す一般的な表現です。

スポーツで同点にする得点やゴールを指す名詞です。選手そのものを指すのが普通ではありません。
The striker scored the equalizer just before the final whistle.

イギリス英語のつづりで、均等化・同点化という過程を表すやや硬い名詞です。スポーツでは equalize the score のほうが一般的です。

equalisationは、動詞equalize（等しくする）に名詞化接尾辞-ationが付いた語で、差をなくして均等化する行為を表す。英国では-isation、米国では-izationと綴る。
