「同年代の人々」は英語で people your age と言います。より説明的には people of the same age と言えます。peers は年齢や立場が近い仲間、contemporaries は同じ時代に生きた人々を指します。

「同年代の人々」を英語にするときのよくある間違い
× I like talking with same generation people.
○ I like talking with people of my generation.
英語では same generation people という語順は不自然です。people of my generation のように言います。
× I like talking with people same age as me.
○ I like talking with people my age.
people の後ろで「同じ年齢の」と説明するときは、people my age または people who are the same age as me と言います。
