「低体温の」を英語にするときのよくある間違い
× The patient was hypothermia.
○ The patient was hypothermic.
hypothermia は名詞、hypothermic は形容詞なので、be動詞の後では形容詞の hypothermic を使います。
× a low-temperature patient
○ a hypothermic patient
人の低体温状態を表すときは、low-temperature patient ではなく hypothermic patient が自然です。
