× The company did salting in its accounts.
○ The company used window dressing in its financial statements.
salting は道路などに塩をまくことで、粉飾の意味にはなりません。
× We need to do window dressing the figures.
○ We need to window-dress the financial figures.
動詞として使う場合は do を付けず、window-dress とします。
