「系統学の」は英語で phylogenetic と言います。生物の進化や種どうしの系統関係を表す専門的な形容詞です。家系や血統に関する「系譜の」なら genealogical を使います。

語源
genealogicalは、ギリシャ語のgenea（家系・系）や-logia（記述・学）を語源とするgenealogyから派生し、英語で-icalを付けて「系譜の・系統学の」という形容詞になった。

× We studied genealogical relationships among these species.
○ We studied phylogenetic relationships among these species.
genealogical は人間の家系や血統に関する語です。生物の種どうしの進化上の系統関係には phylogenetic が適切です。
× I made a genealogical research.
○ I conducted genealogical research.
research はこの意味では通常不可算名詞なので、a は付けません。また、research には conduct などを使うのが自然です。
