語源
irrational motiveは、irrational（理性に反する）とmotive（行動の原因）の組み合わせで、irrationalはラテン語irrationalis（理性的でない）に由来し、motiveはラテン語motus（動き）から発展して「行動を引き起こす理由」を表すようになった。
