新版
「新版」の英語
「新版」は英語で new edition と言います。教科書や本の内容を改訂して再発行した版にはこの表現が自然です。改訂点を強調するなら revised edition、いちばん新しい版なら latest edition と言います。

語源
new editionは、形容詞new（新しい）と名詞edition（版）から成り、editionはラテン語editioを経て「刊行された版」を指す語として定着したため「出版社が改めて出した新版」を意味する
