排気筒
「排気筒」の英語
「排気筒」は英語で exhaust pipe と言います。工場などの大型の排気筒は exhaust stack、建物内を縦に通る換気用の空間は ventilation shaft と呼ぶことがあります。
「排気筒」の英語の使い分け
機械や車などから排気を外へ出す管を指す、最も一般的な表現です。

工場や発電所などにある、大型で煙突状の排気筒を指します。
建物内を縦に通る、空気や煙の通り道を指す建築用語です。一般的な排気管の意味では使いません。

語源
