「面前で」の英語
「面前で」は英語で in front of ... と言います。人や物の前で何かをする位置を表し、of の後ろに対象を置くのが基本です。対象を言わず「前方で」と言うなら in front も使えます。

語源
in frontは、位置を示す前置詞 in と front（正面）が結合した語で、front は古フランス語 front／ラテン語 frons（額・正面）に由来し「前方に」という意味になった。
