Air is a nonconductor of electricity under normal conditions.
The circuit board uses mica as an electrical insulator.
例文
An insulator prevents the flow of electricity.
A material or object that does not allow electric current to pass through it.
The technician examined a thin sheet of mica under the microscope.
A group of sheet silicate minerals that split into thin, flexible, translucent plates, often used as electrical insulators and as pigments or fillers.
A substance that resists the conduction of electricity or heat; in electrical contexts it can mean a dielectric and in thermal contexts a thermal insulator.
