「強化刺激」の英語
「強化刺激」は英語で reinforcing stimulus と言います。学習・行動分析で使う専門用語で、行動の直後に提示され、その行動を増やす働きをする刺激を指します。一般語の reward と必ずしも同じではありません。

語源
reinforcing stimulusは、英語のreinforce（再び強める）とラテン語stimulus（刺激）が結びついてできた語句で、行動の頻度を高める刺激を意味する。
