We recorded the absorbance at three wavelengths.
The logarithmic measure of how much light a sample attenuates, often called optical density and used to quantify light absorption in materials and solutions.
The solution's absorbance was very low at room temperature.
A higher absorbance suggests more of the substance is present in solution.
The quality team reported the sample's absorbance at 450 nm.
What was the sample's optical density this time?
× We measured the absorption of the sample.
○ We measured the absorbance of the sample.
× We used absorptivity for the spectrophotometer reading.
○ We used absorbance for the spectrophotometer reading.
