「第三当事者」を英語にするときのよくある間違い
× third party
third party は一般的な「第三者」を指す表現で、離婚訴訟で不貞相手などを正式な当事者として指す意味では co-respondent のほうが正確です。ただし、文脈によっては third party が適切な場合もあります。
× third person
third person は単なる第三者や文法上の三人称を指す表現で、離婚訴訟の正式な当事者を表す法律用語ではありません。
