「英語の十四行詩」は英語で a Shakespearean sonnet と言います。シェイクスピア風の形式を指し、必ずしもシェイクスピア本人が書いた作品だけを意味するわけではありません。十四行詩全般なら a sonnet と言います。

語源
Shakespearean sonnetは、Shakespeareに由来する形容詞Shakespeareanと、イタリア語 sonetto（小歌）から入った英語のsonnetが結びついて、シェイクスピア風の英語十四行詩を表す語になった。
