下見
「下見」の英語
「下見」は英語で site visit と言います。会場や物件などを事前に訪れて確認する場合に、一般的で自然な表現です。場所を探したり候補地を調べたりする意味では scouting trip も使えます。

「下見」を英語にするときのよくある間違い
× We did a preview of the venue.
○ We made a site visit to the venue.
preview は映画や商品の事前公開などに使われることが多く、会場を事前に訪れて確認する意味では site visit や scouting trip のほうが自然です。
× We went to a scouting trip.
○ We went on a scouting trip.
scouting trip には通常、前置詞 on を使います。
