一階
「一階」の英語
「一階」は英語で first floor と言います。米国などでは日本語の「一階」と同じですが、イギリスでは地上階を ground floor と呼び、その上を first floor と数えるため注意が必要です。
「一階」の英語の使い分け
米国などで、日本の「一階」を指す最も基本的な言い方です。
The hotel lobby is on the first floor.
英国などで、建物の地面と同じ階を指す言い方です。
