「1階」の英語
「1階」は英語で first floor と言います。アメリカ英語では first floor、イギリス英語などでは ground floor が一般的です。なお、イギリス英語の first floor は2階を指します。
「1階」の英語の使い分け
イギリス英語などで、地面に接する階を表す一般的な言い方です。
The café is on the ground floor.
そのカフェは1階にあります。
アメリカ英語で1階を表しますが、イギリス英語では2階を指します。
The reception desk is on the first floor.
受付は1階にあります。
