語源

tic-tac-toeは、19世紀に英語で使われ始めた呼び名で、tickやtackといった短い音の反復から成り、3×3の格子で○と×を並べて勝敗を決める遊びを指すようになった。英国では noughts and crosses と呼ばれる。
